Modular Construction

The use of Modular construction is growing rapidly in the UK.  We have gained a wealth of knowledge in this market having worked on several modular building projects in the past five years in the residential, education, and retail sectors.

One of the key benefits of modular building is a reduction in on-site programme; we have worked with our clients to develop simple, repeatable fixing details and panel layouts to help reduce costs and ensure a reduced period on site.  These details aren’t rocket science but have been proven to work time and again on site.

We have developed excellent working relationships with our clients, and our simple and repeatable fixing details also ensure that tenders can often be turned around quickly.

Projects completed have included the supply and install of various cladding types including Equitone, Brickslip systems and Aluminium panels.

Urban Splash Modular

Sitastruct worked with Urban Splash Modular on a number of projects completing over 170 no 2 and 3 storey plots known as Town House and Row with various cladding finishes.

Fitting as many elements as possible in the factory had numerous positive effects. Works could be completed from the ground, reducing working at height and the use of expensive access on site. The warm and dry conditions in the factory increased efficiency and reduced down time. Materials could be delivered right to the working area. All these benefits combined resulted in a reduction in the time taken to complete individual tasks and led to an overall reduction in the programme on site.

Each project had slightly different specification including, Equitone Tectiva, castellated aluminium cladding in a vibrant Carmine Red and Gebrik brickslips. All elements were designed in house by Urban Splash Modular.

Servaccomm

Sitastruct worked with Servaccomm on a number of projects mainly in the North West but also in Bedfordshire.

We completed 5 no. projects using a variety of panels including Equitone, Rockpanel and Formica Vivix. Whilst the pods were completed in a factory all cladding works were undertaken on site.

Modular 500

We worked with Modular 500 on a number of projects including 5 Costa drive thru units transported to different locations.

Working in their factory we fitted both the aluminium support systems and Rockpanel cladding before the units were wrapped for protection and transported to 5 sites across the country. All works were completed in a matter of weeks largely due to the ability to bond the panels on in the factory as apposed to site. This ensures all panels remain dry and warm minimising down time compared to a traditional outdoor site.
